Diet & Nutrition: Omnivore; provide a varied diet with live food, frozen food and they should accept flake food.
Breeding & Spawning: Egglayer and relatively easy to breed. Tank should be fitted with plenty of plants for the breeder pair to lay their eggs on. Once the eggs are laid, remove the parents promptly, as they will consume the eggs and young fry. The eggs will hatch in 24 hours.
Gender: Female is more robust than the male, may only be noticeable when ready to spawn.
