Diet & Nutrition: Omnivore, will generally eat all kinds of live, fresh, and flake foods. To keep a good balance, give them a high quality flake food every day. Feed brine shrimp (either live or frozen) or blood worms as a treat.
Breeding & Spawning: Egg layers; breeding is not particularly difficult, however, females are often disinterested in spawning.
Gender: The male has a blood-red anal fin while the female's is lighter and sometimes yellow. The black tip on the pectoral fin is seen only on the female.
