Diet & Nutrition: Adapted to live meaty foods. Will readily accept flake and pellet foods, but should be fed mostly meaty fare, such as frozen and freeze dried foods, like bloodworms, mysid shrimp and beef heart.
Breeding & Spawning: Egg scattering species; dimly lit tank with some fine leaved plants on the bottom to catch the eggs will encourage breeding. Be sure to remove parents after they have spawned to avoid them eating the eggs.
Gender: Males are slimmer than females, and tend to have slightly elongated and anal rays.
