Ideal Tank Conditions:
- Temperature Range: 73 - 82°F
- pH Range: 6.5 - 7.5
- Water Hardness: 2 - 30
Temperament: Peaceful towards other species, males are territorial towards other males
Diet & Nutrition: Mainly a wood eater, but the clown pleco will eat many other things as well like yams, cucumbers.
Breeding & Spawning: Very difficult to breed the clown pleco in the home aquarium
Gender: Males develop enamel growths on their backs during adulthood. They may be hard to sex until they are quite mature. Males may also have more barbels than females, but this is not always the case.
