Diet & Nutrition: Will accept most foods offered but vegetable matter in the form of spirulina flakes, blanched spinach etc. should form a large proportion of the diet. This can be supplemented with live and frozen varieties.
Breeding & Spawning: Maternal mouthbrooder. Should be spawned in a species tank in a harem of one male and at least 3 females along with some flat stones and areas of open substrate in the tank to act as potential spawning sites.
Compatible Tank Mates: See Compatibility Chart (Note: Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus is a predatory fish and will eat anything that can fit in its mouth. Their primary targets are juvenile mbuna. Like other Nimbochromis species, they should not be kept with small cichlids as they are piscivorous by nature.)
