Temperament: Not too aggressive in the aquarium, but like most Synodontis it can get quite territorial especially with its own kind.
Diet & Nutrition: Omnivorous; will accept most live, frozen, and meaty foods of appropriate size. Some vegetable matter is also necessary.
Breeding & Spawning: No readily available information on breeding/spawning of this species, however, it definitely is being bred in captivity but it is unclear as to whether this is by natural methods or on fish farms via the use of hormone injections. In nature, this species breeds in areas of seasonal flooding that are rich in micro-organisms. They are eggscatterers and exhibit no parental care.
Gender: Females will be deeper bodied than the males.
