Habitat: The Gold Roseline Barb is a color morph of the Denisonii Barb, which is. native to the freshwater streams of the Western Ghats in southern India. While the wild-type fish is found in India, the Gold Roseline Barb is primarily a selectively bred, captive-bred version for the aquarium hobby and was developed in Indonesia.

Temperament: Peaceful, active schooling fish that are good for community tanks, but they should be kept in groups of at least six.
Diet & Nutrition: Omnivore; will eat high-quality flakes, pellets, and frozen or live foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp .
Gender: Males are typically brighter and more slender, while females are a more golden color, plumper and rounder in the belly. Males often develop more red coloration, a red-orange belly (during breeding), and can have black edges on their fins, while females are duller.
